It's time to celebrate and commemorate!
The Hispanic Center of Excellence (HCOE) in collaboration with the University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) community invites you to commemorate National Hispanic Heritage month. #HispanicHeritageMonth
The observation began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988, upon the approval of Public Law 100-402.
The HCOE along with the UAHS community has planned a series of events during and after Hispanic Heritage Month. These events focus on issues that impact Hispanic health to promote a healthier community. Join us for any or all events!
