Who can apply to be part of the Bilingual Medical Spanish (BMS) Distinction Track?
The BMS distinction track is only open to first-year medical students in the Tucson campus of the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
What level of proficiency (oral/aural) do I need to be accepted in the BMS distinction track?
Students interested in the BMS need to have a Spanish proficiency interview early in the fall semester (Year 01), and reach an ACTFL – Intermediate-High or above level of proficiency to be accepted in the program.
When should I apply?
Students interested in the BMS distinction track must complete this online application before 8/27/2018. In the application you will schedule the Oral Proficiency interview (OPI), between 8/21 and 8/30, 2018. Successful applicants will be invited to join the distinction track before 9/15/18.
